LELHC is an independent lived experience peer network for people with lived/living experience of homelessness.
LELHC aims to create a safe and inclusive space where we can shine a light on:
Our sense of belonging and home
How we can give and receive support with each other
Our needs, our talents, and our strengths
An acceptance for who we are and where we are right now
LELHC believes that homelessness can and should be ended in Australia.
We believe that this requires deep structural change to ensure social and housing justice.
LELHC makes decisions by shared consent. We have diverse views and values. We make decisions by considering whether it is "good enough for now, safe enough to try". This helps us to investigate and experiment with meaningful collective actions.
We trust each other to communicate clearly and regularly and to share feedback. We allow for a continuous exploration of our collective ideas while balancing our need to take effective and timely action.
Currently, decisions are made during LELHC's monthly planning meetings.
